HANDLING UNDERAGED GAMBLING (HUG) PROGRAMME

This is a preventive classroom workshop implemented in school, to develop resilience and right values in students to resist the temptations of gambling. The workshop aims to help students understand what gambling is, the warning signs of addiction, highlighting places where they can get help and making the right choice not to gamble.

The HUG programme is developed by Dr Rina Gupta of McGill University, and is a collaboration between the WE Foundation and St Andrew’s Lifestreams. It is supported by the National Council on Problem Gambling.
